What is one(or more than one because its hard to just pick one lol) of your all time favourite books and why?

Well hmmm….that is a hard one. I’ll keep it to 3 okay? If I tried to go less than that I’ll sit here for the greater part of an hour hemming and hawing over what to put up :).
My absolute favorite book of all time is The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster. I first read it when I was 10 years old and I was enamored with the word play, the witty dialog and just the whole overall story! It is a book that I read to my older kids and also a book I lend around whenever possible. I honestly cannot count how many times I’ve eagerly devoured this book again and again.
Everyone must read and love this book! I command it!

Interview with a Vampire, by Anne Rice, is the book that made me fall in love with vampires. Completely and absolutely in love. Although I’m a little wary about the way they are portrayed in most of the books I’ve read recently, I can always dive back into this book and remember why I loved them in the first place!

Gregory Maguire will always and forever have my heart with his writing, but my absolute favorite by him is Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister. He weaves a Cinderella retelling that is witty, lovely and just so easy to read. If you haven’t read his books, or if you’ve only read Wicked please give him a try!
