Interviewing Amber Argyle, author of Witch Song
Please welcome Amber Argyle to the blog! Author of Witch Song, she’s here today to share a little bit about herself. I asked questions, she gave fabulous answers!
Make sure to leave her a comment below to let her know you stopped by, and look out for my review of Witch Song later this week!
1. Welcome to the blog Amber! First off, a challenge. If you had to choose only one genre of book to read for the rest of your life, which one would you choose and why?
*whines* Just one? Okay, fine—fantasy. But don’t force me to choose between subgenres!
2. I read in your bio that you grew up on a cattle ranch! How did that fuel your love for writing?
Perhaps if I grew up in a crumbling city, I’d write dystopian. Or if I grew up in a town,
I’d write urban fantasy. But I didn’t. I grew up on a cattle ranch. And I write high fantasy about ancient people with magic who have to save the world.

3. What would you say you miss most about your hometown?
Well, obviously the people—my parents the most. Beyond that, my access to horses. I live in a
suburb now. Land is too expensive to have a lot big enough for horses.

4. Is there a character that you enjoyed writing more than the others in Witch Song?
Joshen was one of my favorite characters to write. He’s loyal, easy-going, positive—basically
the guy you want as a friend . . . or to date your daughter.

5. What would you like readers to know before they open the pages of your book?
I truly hope you enjoy it.
6. Finally, we end with another challenge. If your book was about to made into a movie, whatwould the tagline for the poster be?
As the seasons crumble, the last Witch must fight to save a world that hates her.
