A call for recommendations!

Since you are some of the most bookish people I know dear readers, I come to you with a call for help!

I work in an after school program with kindergartners. Our library of books for them is sadly lacking, since this is the first year we’ve had a kindergarten program. It’s so sad! Oh to be surrounded by wonderful books.

Anyhow I’m looking for book recommendations for two things:

1) Books that have repetition, so I can read them with the kids and then they can read them themselves later on during Independent Reading Time.

2) Fabulous picture books that have minimal writing.

Do you know of any? Shout them out in the comments! Our local library is fabulous and I know I’ll be able to find them, I’m just kind of stumped on what to look for :).
