Choosing Favorites: And…Discuss!
And…Discuss is a way for me to share a topic I’ve been thinking about, ramble about it for a bit, and then open the floor to your opinions. An open forum for bookaholics!
This time the topic is….
Here’s a topic I always think about near the end of the year. A time where Top 10 lists pop up like mad, people reminisce about their favorite reads of the year, and I sit back and ponder what series to continue with. A time of reading reflection if you will!
I generally don’t do end of the year lists, mainly because it’s so hard for me to choose my favorites from the year. It’s like choosing a favorite child. Who do I pick? Hahaha. Plus I read all over the map, so that makes it harder too.
I can definitely say that there are some books that pop into my head when I think of those that I loved.
For instance, Vicious. This book totally took me by surprise and I ate it up. I have a slight love affair with V.E. Schwab’s writing anyway, but this book was seriously good.
ANYWAY, I’m rambling. Here’s my question to you:
How do you choose your favorite books? Do you do top ten lists near the end of the year? What’s your criteria?
As always, feel free to share your answers in the comments! I love to hear what you all have to say, and I am also looking forward to finding some new favorite reads!
