It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? (5/6/19)
Happy Monday, my little readers!
I’ll admit, this weekend wasn’t all that fruitful in terms of reading. I watched a ton of tv though! It seems I’m in “zone out” mode lately, just trying to make it through one day at a time. The bright spot of that is that between Netflix, Hulu and HBO there are a TON of things for me to watch right now. I’m in content heaven, and I have no complaints!
Here’s how my reading looks at the moment.
Last week I finished, and reviewed, Last Things by Jacqueline West. This book was GOOD. If you’re a fan of dark, atmospheric reads where the woman saves the day? Well, good news. This book is for you. I had a ton of fun reading this story, and I hope that my review did it justice!
If you’re interested, you can check it out here.
Last week I also finished Deposing Nathan by Zack Smedley, and it ran me straight through the emotional gambit and back out the other side. I gave this book a 5-star rating, but I honestly wish I could have given it even more. This is a big, bold, important story. It’s not the easiest read I’ve ever experienced, but that’s why it’s even more important.
My review of this goes live tomorrow morning!
I’m slowly making my way through The Ruin of Kings on audio, and enjoying it quite a bit! I’m actually glad that I chose the audio version, because it’s making Kihrin’s past and present a lot more separate, and it’s a great way to spend the time I need to do dishes. Hahaha. This is a LONG audio book, so I’m pretty certain that I’ll get through it this month. It’ll just be a while.
I have a review of this coming up on Wednesday for a blog tour, and (despite my best intentions) I haven’t started this yet. Ack. So this will be started on my bus ride home today! It looks adorable, and I’m pretty sure I’m going to power through it. So expect a review very soon!
That’s it for me this week!
