The Review Slump
Ah, friends. Settle in and let me tell you a story. It’s a story about a reader who, despite knowing that she has a hard time with time management, has been reading ravenously and not writing any reviews. It’s a horror story, of sorts, because she now sits in a spot where they are all looming over her and clamoring for attentions. Ghosts, if you will. Ghosts of reviews shirked, and begging for attention.
Yup, that’s me. I’m that reader. While I’ve been doing really well on the reading front, my review writing motivation has been slim. It’s not even that I don’t feel like it, to be honest. It’s more that when I sit down to type all I can think of is how many other things I could be doing. Oh, I’ve done an excellent job at keeping with up with tour spots that I committed to. Everything else has gone by the wayside though, and I fear I’ll never dig myself out of this hole.
How do you, my dear readers, feel about some weekly mini reviews? Perhaps just a day where I throw down some thoughts about 2 or 3 books that have been languishing on the pile. Sound intriguing? That might help me get my mojo back.
In the meantime, I’ll be here alternating between reading and watching Veronica Mars. It’s how I stay sane. It’s also how I recharge for the new week, because lord knows I need some strength to tackle it.
