Late Summer Nights

Ah summer. How I used to love you, and how I don’t love you now. We’ve just finished a two week heatwave and I barely survived. It seems the older that I get, the more I crave cool weather and hot drinks. Warm sweaters, and cozy blankets. Man, I really want the weather to turn already. Too bad I live in So Cal where that won’t happen for quite a while hahaha.

On the bright side, being trapped inside with the A/C meant that I’ve actually got a fair amount of reading done! I’m on book 34 of 52 for the year, and feeling really proud of my goal this time. Sure, I had a pair of DNFs so far this year. But otherwise I’ve been scoring 3-star and above books over and over again. I am absolutely THRILLED. Add to that the fact that I’ve found some new all-time favorites, and you have a very happy reader on your hands. The benefit of laying around in the heat is that, all I want to do is read and not move.

This blog is on year 12 of its life, and I’ve been trying to figure out where I want to go with it. I just renewed it for another 3 years, so it’s definitely sticking around. It’s more now as to whether I want to keep doing memes, or just review, or just ramble at you all. All I know is that I still want to be here, and that’s a start. I’ll figure out the rest as we go. Right?
