A Common Cold

Being the responsible human I am, I went to go and get my COVID booster and my flu shot before I went on vacation. I knew I’d be seeing my baby niece, and so I was like “Let me just make sure I’ll stay well!” to convince myself to get shots. Friends, I was so proud of myself.

And then I got a cold. Oh, and this cold. Awful. As I type this I keep having to take breaks to sneeze and wipe my eyes. It looks like I got punched in the nose. Ack. It’s a whole mess. I have been reminded that you can keep yourself from getting sick as much as possible, but those pesky little illnesses will always sneak through. Darn cold germs.

Anyway this is a lot of randomness just to say that I’ve been slower at reading than normal and the entire month of October was pretty much a wash. But that’s okay! The best part about life is you get to start again whenever you want. So that’s what I’ll do. Bring on November!
