Time Flies and Tea Saves Lives

I swear I blinked and it’s already the holiday season. It didn’t really click for me until it started getting darker earlier, and the morning temps are finally down into the 50’s. October in California is a weird beast. It’ll be 53 degrees overnight and then 87 degrees in the middle of the day. Oof. You have to figure out what outfit to wear that will allow you to be comfortable in both those temps and not have to carry around a sweater or a jacket haha. It drives me a bit nuts if I’m being honest.

But this is also my favorite time of year for many reasons including, but not limited to, scary movies, warm blankets, fluffy sweaters and TEA. Man I love tea. Making a morning cup of tea is one of my all time favorite little zen rituals. It helps me feel like I’m starting my day off right, and puts me at ease. Work has started asking us to come in more often and I am definitely missing my little morning tea time. There’s a lot to be said for things that put you in a place where you feel like you can actually tackle the day.

As for reading? Well, I am most definitely going to hit my goal so that makes me extremely happy! I was a bit worried there for a while, but it turns out that I just needed a vacation to really set me on my reading path. I’m guessing I’ll hit 55 books this year and honestly? That makes me feel great. I didn’t rush, I read things I loved, and I had a great time. I promise to come back later and let you know what my favorites were!
