Ah, November. I’m not going to lie to you, my favorite holiday is (and will forever be) Christmas. So all November is to me is the month that I must endure in order to get to the part of the year where my neighborhood deems it socially acceptable for me to put up my Christmas decorations. I can already feel the vibes though! Cozy season is in full swing, and my reading bug is back in a huge way honestly.

Since last I posted I managed to read a whopping 4 books in a row. Now I know that to some of you bibliophiles out there that seems small. I know, I used to be one of you too. Clearing a cool 200 books a year. Life though has just thrown a lot of wrenches at me in the last few years and my attention span for books was wavering hard. I’ve made it a habit to read for at least 45 min before bed every night, and that helps a lot. It helps me sleep better too if I’m being honest. Still, today I actually sat and finished 50% of a book in one go, and it felt so good. I missed that. I really really did.

Now that I’m over on BlueSky I’ve rediscovered the bookish community that I missed so very much! I had that on IG, and they all moved to TikTok. Then I had it again on Twitter and that site just became terrible and unusable. So… I migrated over and if I’m being honest? It’s a wonderful space. It feels like coming home. I missed seeing people’s current reads, sharing beautiful covers, and not being constantly bombarded with whatever the current TikTok book is. It’s cozy, and it’s rekindling my want to keep this blog going. Isn’t that just lovely? I definitely think so.

In other news, today I finished my 51st book of the year! *throws confetti* Now I’m 100% on track to hit my 52 books in 52 weeks goal. If I read a little more than that before the end of the year, and it feels like I will (huzzah!) I’ll take that as an absolute win. How is your reading year going?
