Christmas APPROACHES and I am so ready
I know I keep saying this, but it keeps being true, work has been insane. We’re finally getting a new person signed on to train and hopefully give us some relief, but for the moment it’s all hands on deck and all of us are skirting the edge of burnout. Happily, I’m finally nearing my Christmas vacation! All I want to do is snuggle under some blankets, drink something warm, and read a good book. I still haven’t finished The Book That Wouldn’t Burn so that’s top priority. And napping. So much napping.
Well and also drafting my darn end of the year posts! I’ve compiled some lists. Man, it’s so hard to pick favorite books. It’s so SUBJECTIVE of a thing. I think I’ve nailed down some that I really, genuinely enjoyed though and I’m excited to share them with you. That, and to look forward into what is to come! There are a lot of good books hitting shelves in 2025 that I am eager to read. I hope by then things are calmer so I can really tackle them in earnest.
How has your year been winding down, my bookish friends? I hope that you’ve had some time to be calm, some time to reflect, and of course some quiet time for reading. I hope you’ve had fun setting your goals (or not) for 2025. Let’s just ease into the new year shall we? Slow and steady.
