Just Another Random Wednesday Update

Hi there, it’s me again! Rambling at you, because my brain is full of notes for book reviews and yet work is so busy that I don’t have time to sit down and actually write them. Some day I’ll show you the random notes I scribble, hurriedly jotting my feelings down as I read and try to figure out how to aptly explain how a certain part of a book makes me feel. It’s a lot of fun to get so caught up in a book that I forget, but then it also makes it harder for me to write a review later on hahaha. Ah, reading. I love you.

So anyway, I’m going through the blog this week/weekend when I have time and cleaning things up. Polishing old reviews, deleting old links, making photos the right size (man there are so many that are not right now, ouch), and making some hard decisions what I want to focus on going forward. I’ll be opening guest post and interview spots to my Indie author friends again in about a month. I miss meeting new people, and learning about their books! But I wanted to make sure that, quite frankly, I had my shit together again before I offered. Last year was… well it was a lot and I’m only just now picking up the pieces.

ANYWAY, to end on a happy note, I have another review coming tomorrow for a middle grade book that I loved. I’ll be reviewing my latest read on Sunday, and I’ll hopefully have a fun list of my favorite books of 2024 for you this week too. If not this week, definitely next week. Look at me learning how to not overpromise myself. Good job Jess, good job.
