    Waiting on Wednesday (4/25/18)

You’ve made it to Wednesday, bookish friends! Congratulations! I’m slogging through this day. That’s pretty much the only way to describe how I feel. If someone were to point me in the direction of a cup a tea and a couch, I’d fall straight asleep. Hahaha. The good part is that it’s at least the middle of the week, so we’re in the downhill swing to the weekend! Huzzah! Now, on to my pick for this Wednesday! I’m eagerly waiting on Salt by Hannah Moskowitz. Even though their parents disappeared during a hunt three months ago, seventeen-year-old Indi and his siblings,…

    The Slump.

Hi everyone! No, we’re not gone. Promise. Busy, yes? Slightly overwhelmed? Definitely. Not gone though. Here trying to keep things flowing as much as possible. Every April and May is a whirlwind of weekends spent celebrating birthdays, baby showers, and Mother’s Day. I’ve barely had time to breathe on the weekends and, honestly, when I do I don’t feel like blogging. It’s been a rough go lately in terms of review writing. So here’s a quick look at what we do already have scheduled for this month: Tina will be reviewing Accidental Tryst, Love Hack, Ray Vs. The Meaning of…

    Blah.

Friends, I am sick. Or have ridiculously epic allergies. I honestly can’t tell the difference anymore. *laughs maniacally before descending into coughing fit* I’ve been reading, but I haven’t really been writing reviews. I’m in this state where, if someone would let me, I would happily just lay in bed and read in between naps. If only. I think this is why we as adults get sick so often and stay sick so long. We don’t have the luxury of downtime to let our bodies heal. Bright side though, is that I’ve been powering through audio books! Nothing helps me…

    Thoughts on a rainy Thursday.

In Southern California, rain is a major weather event. Seriously, it makes me laugh out loud every single time. We get wind of a “major” storm headed our way, everyone panics, it rains far less than we expected, and people are disappointed. I, for one, just go with the flow. Ever since I bought one of those plastic bubble umbrellas that people carry around in Japan, my mass transit commute is much more fun in the rain! Although I can’t deny, and I think we all agree, the best place to be on a rainy day is in bed with…
