Bookish (And Not So Bookish) Thoughts #1

She looked at her shelves, filled with books in which the bad stuff that happened to people was caused by things like witches who lured people into the woods. In a weird way, the world seemed to make more sense that way. – Anne Ursu, Breadcrumbs It’s been a weird week, emotionally, for me. I thought I was in a good place with battling all my demons. They’d fled far enough away that I felt like I could breathe and things were good. Then with everything in the news lately, stress from other areas, and the lack of time to…

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? (7/15/19)

It is Monday once again friends, and hopefully it’s treating you kindly. I apologize for being so scarce around here lately. I was burnt out, I went on vacation and had a blast, and then I came back and I still can’t seem to get back into the groove of things. Trust me, I’m trying! It’s just going slower than I’d like. So if you see a bunch of pre-made posts for a bit, that’s why. Thanks in advance for cutting me some slack. That being said, I’ve started reading in earnest again and I am actually excited to share…

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? (5/6/19)

Happy Monday, my little readers! I’ll admit, this weekend wasn’t all that fruitful in terms of reading. I watched a ton of tv though! It seems I’m in “zone out” mode lately, just trying to make it through one day at a time. The bright spot of that is that between Netflix, Hulu and HBO there are a TON of things for me to watch right now. I’m in content heaven, and I have no complaints! Here’s how my reading looks at the moment. Last week I finished, and reviewed, Last Things by Jacqueline West. This book was GOOD. If you’re…

Top Ten Tuesday: Rainy Day Reads

Happy Tuesday lovely people! We worked our butts off this weekend, doing all of the Spring chores that it’s been too windy or rainy to do until now. The front of our house now sports adorable handmade window boxes, and a potting ledge! We even re-mulched the front planters and re-screened our windows. Hahaha. Ah, home ownership. It’s a thing. Now let’s get to the prompt. Top Ten Rainy Day Reads This is hilariously appropriate because, despite the weather not telling us, it’s totally sprinkling outside. What are you gonna do? Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen This is actually…

    Book Blogger Hop (4/12/19)

Book Blogger Hop I decided to join in the weekly Book Blogger Hop this week! It’s honestly been a while since I’ve done one of these, but I’m in need of inspiration and I loved the question for this week! Friday is finally here, so let’s do this thing! When reading a series, do you re-read the previous book/s before reading the newly released book? (submitted by Angelica @ Paperback Princess) In a perfect world, where I had all the time I wanted to read, I would so want to re-read previous books! Sometimes it actually takes me a few…

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? (4/8/19)

Happy Monday, my little readers! I’m hoping you had as lovely of a weekend as I did! I didn’t get much reading done, but honestly it was kind of nice to take a break. I spent time with family and friends, ate way too much good food, and just spent time with my hubby. Weekends like that keep me sane, and so I’m not too sad that I had to give up reading time. I’ll make up for it this week, I’m sure! Here’s how my reading is going right now. Last week I finished, and reviewed, We Rule the…

Top Ten Tuesday: Audio Books Narrators I Adore

Good morning lovely people! Can you believe that it’s almost April? I feel like that shocked emoji would fit just perfectly here, because March absolutely flew by. It’s been a pretty great year of reading so far though, so I can’t complain at all. Now, let me stop rambling and let’s get to today’s Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Audio Book Narrators This was a hard one, and so these are in no particular order. It would be way too hard on my poor little reader brain to do that, and I love them all so much! — Kathleen Gati…
