We’re Still Here!
Hello awesome followers! And happy February! Isn’t it crazy that a whole month of 2015 has already come and gone? If I think about it too long, I start to feel anxious. So I’m going to just enjoy February while it lasts :). This is just a quick note to let you know that we’re still here! Tina is very busy at work, and at home, while I’m currently transitioning into a new job. So, you might not see us post as much for the next few weeks. Life, unfortunately (someone hurry up and hire me to read!), takes precedence…

Feel Good Friday
Picture of the day: Tea is my best friend this week. Lemon tea, orange tea, green tea… all of the teas! You see, it is the season of germs and silly me thought I could avoid catching the hubby’s cold. No such luck 🙁 It’s times like these that I would love to stay in bed with my cup of tea and read all day. Sadly adult responsibilities make that a near impossibility. Between work obligations and trying to keep the house at a tolerable level of clean, I’m in bed by 9 pm every night out of pure exhaustion.…

Sunday Funday: Harry Potter Season!
Happy Sunday my lovely bookworms! Harry Potter Season has officially started in my household (yes, HP gets it’s own season, don’t judge!). This weekend I marathon watched the last 4 movies, although I’ve seen every movies multiple times they never seem to get old. HP season is the beginning of the holidays for me. Rum cake baking, Christmas card making and HP watching season is my favorite of the year. When we get back from Thanksgiving travels it will be decorating time! This is our second year in the house but the first year we’re decorating and I’m pretty excited.…

Photographic Ramblings
I stumbled upon this amazing website called Unsplash in my wanderings about the web. Every 10 days they put up 10 free stock photos that you can do with what you like. This gorgeous forest was put up by Kim Daniel and I instantly fell in love with it. Isn’t it lovely? I think I have wanderlust, but it just calls to me. Anyway I realized that I do so much reading, and so much writing about that reading, that sometimes I forget to just step back and take some time to ramble about other things :). Like the fact that my husband…

Wednesday Musings
Happy Wednesday friends! Today you get an adorable squirrel stealing a pumpkin because 1) it’s almost Halloween and 2) cute animal pictures cheer me up. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays because I love seeing how creative people can be with their costumes. The more detail the better in my opinion, even though I’m pretty terrible at costumes myself. The costumes that don’t fit through doors always make me laugh because I can’t imagine how uncomfortable it must be to have to turn sideways through every doorway you walk through. Since it’s only one day a year I suppose…

Sunday Funday
Terra Mystica Happy Sunday my lovely bookworms! I don’t know about you, but by the time Monday rolls around I almost always ♫ ♬ wish it were Sunday, ’cause that’s my Funday ♫ ♬ There are many reasons to love Sundays: the promise of a new week, the relaxation of a day off, or extra reading time. If you are like me, you enjoy several hobbies, Sunday can quickly become a board game filled, rum cake baking extravaganza Whenever I find myself waist-deep in a reading slump I tend to spend a day or two indulging myself with a host of other diversions…

Please welcome my new co-blogger!
As you all may have noticed, things have gotten a little sparse over here. It’s gotten to the point where blogging had to scoot down the priorities ladder a bit. Still, I love this blog and want to see it flourish! I’ve been debating on whether or not to bring someone else on to provide you quality content, and I’ve finally decided it’s time. Please welcome my new co-blogger, Tina! Hello lovely readers! My name is Tina and I love books. The wonderful Jessica, who I’ve known for *gasp* 15 years now, has invited me to join the HDB family…

Monday Musings
Picture of the day: Because whether this is a kitten, or a puppy, or some kind of adorable new puff ball pet? It’s absolutely adorable! How can you have a bad Monday when something that adorable is staring at you? *** I’ve slowly been settling back in to blogging more regularly over here. I’m still only making it a 3-4 day a week thing, but it’s feeling more natural. I think I’m getting back into the groove of wanting to write new content. To all of you still out there? You have no idea how much I always appreciate you…
