    Summer “Beach Reads” Reading Challenge

Welcome, welcome to the 2010 Summer “Beach Reads” Challenge *throws confetti* I’m sure you’re asking yourself, but Jessica, what exactly is a “beach read”? On My Wishlist (4)

On My Wishlist is a weekly feature run by the great book blog, Book Chick City. This feature is used to list books that we desperately want but haven’t gotten to read yet! Fortunately, they’ve been extinct for a hundred and fifty years.  Or not.  Astrid had always scoffed at her eccentric mother’s stories about killer unicorns. But when one of the monsters attacks her boyfriend—thereby ruining any chance of…

    Author Introduction: Allan Richard Shickman

Recently I had the pleasure of reading Zan-Gah and Zan-Gah and the Beautiful Country for Allan Richard Shickman. I must say that these books were completely different from anything I’ve read before, but in an extremely good way! Reviews are coming tomorrow and Thursday, but first let’s meet this amazing author. (Photo Credit) ZAN-GAH author Allan Richard Shickman conceived Zan’s adventure after thousands of miles of travel through mountains, deserts and forest land. The idea for this exciting story was born in a cave deep beneath the earth— in the company of hundreds of bats. Allan is an artist, teacher,…
