Top 5 Books of 2016
The end of 2016 is upon us! Therefore, I thought it appropriate to do a top 5 post, even if I might not quite be done reading for the month. I doubt this will change much, to be honest. This year ,so far, I’ve read 200 books. Out of those 200 books, I only rated 39 with 5-star ratings. Out of those 39, only 13 were books (not graphic novels or comics, those are coming in a different post). Needless to say, it’s a lot easier this year to pin down some great 5-star reads. So be prepared for me…

Good morning ladies and gents! It’s officially the new year, and I will be honest in saying that I’m pretty excited for it! There are a lot of things that I’m looking forward to this year. Buying a home, kicking butt at my still relatively new full time job, and (best of all) reading way more books! Here’s some stats from 2015: You’ve already seen my goals for 2016 reading, and I’m seriously ready to get started! This is going to be a great year.

Gearing up for 2016
I’ve been debating for a while on whether I wanted to do a “best of” list this year, but the truth is that I’d rather just spend the time that I’d be working on that, reading! It’s been an odd year here at HDB headquarters. It was a little stressful, a little surprising, and a lot amazing. I think it’s been overwhelming enough that I just don’t have it in me to sit and try to analyze it. Heck, I’m surprised at how many things I rated 5 stars this year! So, there will be a wrap up post coming,…

2016 Reading Challenges
This year I chose to skip the Audiobook Challenge, and I honestly missed it. There were so many great recommendations for narrators that I received while participating, and so I’m excited to start again in 2016! I’m going to go for the Binge Listener level. 20 – 30 ebooks shall be listened to! Books will go here: 1. Agent to the Stars by John Scalzi 2. The Wednesday Group by Sylvia True 3. The Mark of Zorro by Johnston McCully 4. Low Town by Daniel Polansky 5. Witches of Lychford by Paul Cornell 6. Miss Mayhem (Rebel Belle #2) by Rachel Hawkins 7. Wizard’s First Rule (The Sword…

2015 November Wrap Up
Happy December everyone! Isn’t it crazy how fast time flies by? This is my favorite month of the year, because Christmas is my all time favorite holiday. Coincidentally, it’s also the time of year that I get the least reading done. This was a light month. Graphic Novels Read: Single Issues Read: Books Read: DNF Pile: Total (Things) Read: 16 Books sent to DNF: 2 Goal Progress: 212 out of 225 (94%) Favorite book of November? I’m going to give the honor to Preacher, Vol 1 this time around! I’m so glad I dove into that series, because Jesse Custer…

April 2015 Wrap Up
Books Read and Reviewed in April: Total books read/reviewed: 10 Books Read/Not Reviewed: Total books read/not reviewed: 6 Grand Total: 16 (4 DNF books) Reading Progress: 63 out of 150 books (42%) I really don’t want to count DNF books in my overall count, but it’s tricky since I’ve honestly never DNF’d so many books in one month before. Lol. I’ll figure it out. I might just add an extra book to my overall goal for each one I DNF. We shall see. Let’s talk the good though, and that’s the…

It’s that time of year again! Time for the big post that ties it all up. I had set a goal of 150 books this year, and smashed it twice! I ended up with 200 books read, which was pretty amazing. I love being a bookworm. Since I don’t feel much like doing a huge list this year, here’s the last 50 books I read for you to peruse! If you want to see more, simply click on a book cover and it will take you to BookLikes where I have a profile! Here’s to 2015 being completely bookish!
