    Zen Wishes

Currently very much wishing that I was somewhere as zen as this. I’ve been slowly working my way back into reading. I’m up to about 1 to 2 chapters a night! That’s a big deal, trust me. I’ve also been trying to hone my reviewing skills again. I finished reading a book written by one of my amazing friends, and I want to review it so badly. Every time I sit down and try though, my brain gets all jumbled up. I used to be able to type up a review in a matter of minutes, flawlessly describing every little…

Book Review: The Infinite Noise (The Bright Sessions #1) by Lauren Shippen

Lauren Shippen's The Infinite Noise is a stunning, original debut novel based on her wildly popular and award-winning podcast The Bright Sessions. Caleb Michaels is a sixteen-year-old champion running back. Other than that his life is pretty normal. But when Caleb starts experiencing mood swings that are out of the ordinary for even a teenager, his life moves beyond “typical.” Caleb is an Atypical, an individual with enhanced abilities. Which sounds pretty cool except Caleb's ability is extreme empathy—he feels the emotions of everyone around him. Being an empath in high school would be hard enough, but Caleb's life becomes…

I still have school, and the homework that comes along with it, but I’m going to try my best to at least get some rambling content and a few reviews a month up here. Since my awesome co-blogger has been…

Back at home with half a college degree after the fiasco of the century sent her packing, it’s safe to say that Renee Nyobé is losing some. She’s a hot mess, and not the cute kind.
