I’m back from hiatus

Hi friends, I know I disappeared for a bit. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, these last few weeks have been a lot. I’m been using all my coping mechanisms, but it just ended up that I needed to take a break. When reading no longer becomes fun, that’s when I know that it’s time to take a step back and relax for a bit. Set my expectations of myself as low as possible, and go into battery saving mode.

So what have I been up to?

Playing a LOT of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Sometimes it’s nice to escape to a place where I can make decisions that actually change the course of a smaller world, and where good triumphs over evil in the end. Usually books are that for me, but increasingly video games have become a place for me to retreat to for a while. I know this game has gotten a lot of hate from the gamer bros out there, but I for one am enjoying it immensely.

Anyway, I’m back! I’ve actually finished Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell this time around. And while I won’t review it, because man that book was good but a lot, I’m back to reading review books again. Expect some novella reviews coming up, and I’ll try to get a meme or two up this week also. Thanks, as always, for sticking with me!
